Grow and flourish where you are planted.
Wherever the winds shall carry you, scatter you,
Like weeds glorious, thrive furiously
and refuse to disappear into oblivion.
The tides of life are rough and turbulent.
But you are built for such.
The dirt on your hands
The mud on your face
The sweat on your temples
have prepared you for this.
Believe. Persist.
Take each day as an opportunity
to always be aware of how alive you are.
Every moment whether exciting or mundane,
is a chance to be present, mindful of all that you have--
Sight, hearing, language, cognition, emotion
Taste, touch, love.
For every taste of success
For every semblance of defeat
Ask yourself constantly,
"What is life teaching me?"
Sometimes the answers are crisp and clear.
Sometimes they will be revealed at a later time.
For now just wait and breathe.
One day it will all make sense
The truth will glare and come thundering
you will want to search for cover, shield your
eyes from the sun.
But don't. By all means, don't.
Instead, open your arms.
Throw away those Ray Bans
Ready the balls of your feet.
Remember, you are meant to fly.
So fly, fly, fly.
